DESIGN PREIS SCHWEIZ 2015/16 — Nominees

Swiss design is highlighted once again with the 2015/16 edition of the Design Preis Schweiz. With a new category called Product Design Investment Goods, the Design Preis Schweiz is one of the most complete competitions with almost all the design disciplines represented.

The internationally prestigious jury, consisting of Jasper Morrison, Robb Young, Lars Müller, Ascan Mergenthaler and Liesbeth inʼt Hout, has been reinforced by the addition of Wolfgang K. Meyer-Hayoz, an industrial designer specialising in investment goods – a response to the growth of this market sector.

Out of the 450 entries submitted, 42 have now been nominated. These include world innovations and smart solutions which emphasise the competitiveness of Swiss design. We already interviewed some of the nominees such as BIG-GAME, huber egloff and Mugi Yamamoto.

The vernissage and award ceremony will take place at Langenthal on the 30th of October 2015. The projects will be exhibited from the 31 of October to the 13th of December 2015. More information here.
